You will receive the mobile preset as a DNG file that you can download directly to your phone. Depending on how you store the file, it may end up in your phone's camera roll or in your file browser.
If you store the files in your camera roll, they may appear as grey images only. That's okay, don't worry.
Best create a new album first (perhaps name it like the preset collection). Then, tap “Add photos” in the bottom right corner and select from either “From Camera Roll” or "From Files" depending on where you saved the files.
Choose the DNG file(s) from your camera roll or your file browser and import it. Don’t worry if the DNG file is just black, that’s just how it is at this point.
Now you should see your newly imported DNG file, showing the proper image and description. Open the file and tap the three dots at the top right corner of the screen.
Next tap on “Create Preset” and you will see the New Preset screen which contains all the options you can use to customize your preset. Best name your preset exactly like we did on the respective image, e.g. “Copper Vibes Darken” and add it into a Preset Group if you want to. Otherwise it will automatically be put in the “User Presets” group.
With the checkboxes below you can choose which picture settings you’d like to save with this preset. Only the settings you select here will be applied to your pictures with this preset in the future.
For our presets, we suggest you go into the "Color" settings and uncheck "White Balance", so that your own white balance does not get overwritten by the preset.
Furthermore, we suggest to turn off the "Light" overwrites when you're saving a "normal" preset from our collection. Only leave the "Tone Curve" checked. This way, you will not change your own light settings when you're applying a "normal" preset. For the "darken" and "brighten" presets, you need to leave the entire list of "Light" settings checked so they work properly.
Once you’re done, save your preset by tapping on the checkmark icon at the top right corner.
To use your new preset go back into your library and open any photo you would like to edit.
Find the Preset icon in the menu at the bottom of the screen (you will have to scroll all the way to the right) and tap on it. Make sure the Preset Group that’s selected is the one where you saved your new preset. If you saved it in the User Presets group, select that one.
To apply the preset to the photo, click the checkmark icon in the bottom right. Now, you can make further adjustments so your edit is perfect.
We usually use the preset as a starting point to get the color grading we want and then adjust the light settings further to achieve the results below.
